How it works
- For children up to age 15
- Opened and managed by an adult (ID required)
- Free to open
- Save up to £25,000
- Earn interest, typically in line with adult dividend rates
Account management
You can manage the account.
- Operated by an adult until age 7
- After age 7, the account can be managed according to the agreed mandate
Deposits
You can pay into this account via:
- Direct debit
- Standing order
- Bank transfer
Withdrawals
Same-day withdrawals (before 3.30pm), via the mobile app depending on account setup.
Proof of ID and Address Checklist
You cannot use one form of identification for both name and address (e.g. if you provide Driving Licence as proof of name, you must provide another form of identification for proof of your address). If you are unable to provide the forms of ID listed below then please contact us to discuss what we might accept.
Proof of Name: - must include photograph and be in date
- Current UK passport
- Valid Photocard driving licence (UK or overseas – must show address, signature and photograph)
- Valid EU passport or National ID card (must also clearly state country of issue)
- EEA member state identify card
- Foreign passport with UK visa
- Residence Permit
- Police Warrant Card
- Military ID Card
- Firearms or Shotgun Licence
- PASS card (National Proof of Age Standards Scheme)
Proof of Address:
Any of the above containing exact address (as long as not used for ID purposes)
UK council tax bill/utility bill/DWP benefits letter/tax credits letter
- Must be original sent to home address, less than 6 months old and match the exact name on application and name on proof of ID. NOTE you cannot use a mobile phone bill, TV licence, online bills or bills to another address
- Bank/building society or credit card statement
- Must be original sent to home address, less than 6 months old and match exact name on application and name on proof of ID. NOTE you cannot use store card statements
- Tenancy Agreement
- Must be a current local council tenancy or well-known housing association
- Must be on headed paper and bear stamp of relevant council/housing association
- Match exact name and address used in application.
E-statement/e-bill
- Can only be used where ID document showing address as listed above is also used
