Here at Westcountry Savings & Loans, we’re delighted to celebrate an exciting achievement as we welcome our 4,000th member.

While this milestone is something to celebrate, it’s also an opportunity to reflect on the journey that has brought us here. From welcoming our first members in Weston-super-Mare in 2004, we’ve steadily grown into the South West’s largest credit union, serving communities across Somerset, Bristol, Devon and Cornwall with ethical savings, affordable loans and financial wellbeing guidance.

Since we first opened our doors in 2004, our growth has been shaped by the people who have supported us every step of the way. Over the years, we’ve expanded our common bond, moved to our Portishead office, embraced online services and developed partnerships with housing providers and employers. Most recently, we’ve launched our new mobile app to make the member journey simpler and more convenient, with further improvements planned for the coming months.
